Hi, I just bought a new soundcard and a v-amp2 and still I can't record properly in Cubase. This is my setup: the guitar is connected to the preamp, wich is connected to my soundcard. The output of my soundcard is connected to my stereo. When I play something it sounds great, but when I play a recorded track back in Cubase the volume is much to low. Please help a newbe set up his gear properly. Thanx.

What type of soundcard?
Keep the Input & Output Monitor windows open in Cubase so you can monitor record levels.

You should also adjust record levels for the soundcard using the Windows Audio properties dialog box.

I use a Midiman audiophile 24/96 but to be honest I don't know how to set it up right.
