Sup All
I'm currently in the process of building my first daw system, so far I decided that its going to be a P4 2.5ghz already have some of the parts,
the case i choose is an antec 1080 10-bay tower. I love the antec cases since they are nice and quiet.
The Motherboard I'm looking at is the
ASUS P4T533-c socket 478 anyone using this one or recomend a better Asus board to use for a Daw, for OS I'm going to be using Windows Xp Home edition.

It's just one person's experience, but I couldn't be happier with my P4T533-C; it's been flawless. Depending on your timing, you might save some serious money by waiting for the new Granite Bay dual ddr memory (and a mobo that uses it). It benchmarks about the same as my Rambus PC1066, and will supposedly cost half as much.
- P4 Northwood 533MHz FSB @ 2.53 GHz
- ASUS P4T533-C w/Intel i850E chipset
- 2 x Samsung 512MB Rambus PC1066 non-ECC
- Enermax FS-710 full tower case
- Enermax EG465P-VE 430W p/s
- 2 x Maxtor D740X 80GB L series hdd
- Maxtor UDMA 133 PCI IDE controller card
- Matrox G550 video card
- LynxONE sound card
- Plextor Plexwriter 24/10/40A cd-rw
- Sony 52X cd-rom
- NEC FE950+ 19in flat monitor
- Windows XP Pro
- Logic Audio, Reaktor, Absynth,etc.

Great thanks. I was planning at first to use a Gigabyte motherboard but then read a few bad post about them, everyone seems to rave about asus motherboards so I figure I would go with them,
The place I'm going to order mine from is www.tigerdirect.com (http://www.tigerdirect.com) thats where I buy alot of my computer stuff anyway they have the board listed for about $169.99
