Just put an ecsk75a mobo in my 800 athlon t bird/512 ram and put in the inca card, shut off acpi, everything else makes sound [castle wolfenstein, media player etc], there are no other pci slots occupied, tnt 64 graphics card, no irqs, and the darn thing won't play the tutorial, nada.
Any input would be greatly appreciated

[Rewiving old thread:]
Turn on ACPI! Yeah, I know it sounds strange, but the Inca88 is designed to be used in ACPI-mode. If not in ACPI-mode, you will get a IRQ-conflict...
Good luck!

I've just got Sonar 2.0 and had no problems with the Inca 88. However, the demo of Sonar 1.0 refused to "see" the Inca and I installed a new ASUS mobo that apparently fixed the problem. The ASUS lets me manually configure IRQ's (so I'm not running ACPI) and doesn't have a VIA chipset. I was told with no argument allowed that VIA chipsets are absolute crap and cause endless problems. Seems they're right.
I'd be interested in swapping Inca settings, once you get running. My defaults are so far giving me around 40ms latency. I've posted above about this.
Contact me direct on mail@graemehague.com.au if I can help more, but I'm away from my PC for a few days after this.
