Hey, anyone out there know how to back up projects in Sonar to cd-r? In pro audio 9 it was easy...In Sonar it's some kind of mystery.
I want to be able to work on a project on my PC and then mix it down on my laptop. I figured backing it up on a cd would be the best bet but I can't figure out how to do it, can it be done????

Well, they have added some new file management stuff in SONAR 2, but otherwise you can still do exactly what you would have done in Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 -- save the project as a Cakewalk bundle, and put the bundle on CD-R.

The extension has changed from bun to cwb, but that's about it.

What commands would I use to put a project on cd-r?

You say, "In pro audio 9 it was easy..." then say, "What commands would I use to put a project on cd-r?"

Aii yai yai...

Anyway, SONAR has no burn-to-CD capability that I know of; and neither did Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. It can be done if you have DirectCD running in the background, which makes your CD-R/CD-RW drive appear like a regular disk drive to the OS. Then it would just be a File/Save As pointed to the CD-R, choosing the file type Cakealk bundle (extension cwb).

If you don't have DirectCD you save the cwb to your hard drive, leave SONAR, and use your burning software
