It Speeds Up...And Slows Down

Hey,
What can I do about audio playback that speeds up and slows down. Here's the system:

Dell Dimension Lc433
Windows ME
Pentium III Processor 433 mhz
128 MGS Ram
Motu 828
USB Midiman Sport
buslink firewire hard drive 7200 rpms 60 gig

[scatterbrain]

2 things stand out to me

128 MB RAM - need more, you need that for windows, never mind audio apps
Win ME - chuck it, it's garbage.

Do you have SONAR and the 828 at the same sampling rate?
