This question may have a really simple answer, but does anyone know if it is possible to have two drum set channels? I can't seem to get drums working on any channel other than #10. Thanks.
Depends on what your'e trying to trigger.If it's a GM drum module you might be stuck at ch 10,but for anything else(ie:battery,ext machine ect.)you can use any channel you wan't.
Thanks Alan. Yeah, I use soundfonts for drums. I guess there's no way to do what i want to do.
There is a another way though.You could either use Cyclone or get Loopazoid(free)and load drum saples into to those,or percussion ect. and use that as a second drum module set to any channel you wan't.

You can also use a Sound Font editor like Vienna Studio (free) and change a GM drum Sound Font into a non-GM one that can be addressed on any channel...

If you open the drum soundfont in Vienna, a lot of times the sound is under the Percussion Preset". I simply copy it and paste it under the "Instrument Preset". You can then use channels 1-16 for drums.
Thanks everybody, especially. Alchuck and jon dauber. The vienna solution worked fine. in the past, verytime i wanted a different snare or something, i used to have to construct new soundfonts or do moultipe audio recordings. now i don't .thanks again!
