After installing Win2K, I had some issues with the authorization software and couldn't get my plugins to work. I talked to Pete at Wave CS and had my stuff reauthorized and running within 30 minutes. My hat is off...

I agree. I had some Pace protection problems while trying to install the Ren collection. Not only did the Waves tech support get me up and running quickly they did it with out the "what a maroon" aditude. These guys really know there stuff. Also, I don't see techs from any other companies taking the time to read and post answers on this forum like some one from Waves is doing. BTW, The Ren compressor and eq are fantastic!

How come other people can get a copy/challenge over the phone and I couldn't get one the other day? Whats up?

Registration or authorization via challenge/response is not done over the phone. This is for the security of the customer. I believe that ctsears is referring to the now rectified tpkd.sys/Win2K problem with PACE , not a challenge/response issue.

Challenge/Response authorization can be achieved either by "creating an account" at http://register.waves.com or via the fax form that is provided with the Version 3.0 product. In the meantime, you will have the 14 day full functional demo to keep you up and running.
