When I am installing Waves Native Power Pack 3.0 I get a message saying "uninstaller setup failed to initiliaze. You may not be able to uninstall this product." I keep going and then when it gets 90% done installing a blue screen comes up and says "A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:6004EC83. The current application will be terminated." I am trying to install waves on a 400mhz celeron, 96mb ram, windows 98. I don't know what version of directx I have or if that would make any difference. Is there any thing I can do. Thanks

Hi,

You're not alone with your problem. Check out the topic "Am I alone with this problem."

If your problem mirrors Jules' and mine, you're probably out of luck until sp1 is released for 3.0. I was told it is probably related to the Pace Challenge/response software.

Good Luck,

Paul

I'm having the same problem. I just built a new DAW using W2K SP2 and an BIT KT7A-RAID. Everything else works great. But, I can't install my Native Gold package due to the spontaneous reboot at 90%. I also get the "uninstaller failed to initialize" warning.

Have they ever published a fix for this? I'm frustrated.

They still don't have a fix yet that I know of. I found out that I had gotten the cih.95 virus from my friend. Once I got rid of that it installed correctly. Hope you get yours to work.

No it isn`t. I`m still left out, unable to install my software and unless something has happened in the last week, so are many that posted on the previous thread regarding this topic.
