I installed the demo version of Waves 3.0, but decided to remove it, now I can't seem to get back to my 2.8.1 Waves plugs (all other plugs seem to be OK).

Here's the weird thing: The plug-ins DO exist in the 'plug-in' folder (located under DAE folder). But when I launch PT, and it prompts me to locate the plug-ins, I go to the proper plug-ins folder, and now they are NOT there!

By suggestion, I've tried trashing Waves prefs, DAE prefs and PT prefs; replaced 3.0 waveshell with 2.8.1. Even moving the plug-in folder around, to the Waves folder, and back to DAE folder, but no luck.

Can anyone help?!?!? http://www.audioforums.com/forums/confused.gif

The only thing that goes in the DAE Plug-ins folder is the WaveShell (either WaveShell DAE or WaveShell RTAS, or both, if you want both). The Waves plug-ins belong in the Waves plug-ins folder, which should reside elsewhere on your hard drive (say, in the Waves folder, which is installed by the Waves installer).

When you are prompted to locate the plug-ins locate the Waves Plug-ins folder, inside the Waves folder. Highlight it and then press "Select".

That should get you going with either 3.x or 2.81.

Best of luck.
