ReValver inserted into a SONAR track followed by attempting to use a Waves FX on any track will cause a spontaneous reboot.

Windows ME and 2K.

Heads up.

thanks for the heads up steve. i have been having the same problem but i didn't make the connection to the revalver.i also get the crash then reboot when i try to open projects with the waves 3.0 already patched into them.i have tried the pace patch the sonar patch and even installed the newest drivers for my onboard graphics , all to no avail.sometimes if i open a simple test wrk. file with a waves processor in it and then open the real project i want to work on right on top of the test, i can patch in a waves effect without a crash.my system is a p3-800 with cusl2 asus mobo , 512megpc133 sdram using motu 2408 with the beta3 wdm drivers and sonar. any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated . also drwatson can't pick up anything to diagnose but sometimes if i launch it before sonar everything works ok. probably just a fluke. thanks, keith one more thing i am running win98se.

here is a workaround that seems to be consistent. first create a new sonar project and then insert a waves effect in it.now , open the project you want to work on right on top of the first one . you should be able to use waves effects on any track or bus now without spontaneously rebooting . i have working like this for two days so far but i don't know if this points to the underlying problem we have. keith

Hi
We do have a known problem with our plug-ins and Sonar "Revalver" at the moment but we are working with Alien connection over a solution , however at the moment what we do is disabling "Revalver" in the registry , and solving temporarilly the problem.
