I have installed the Waves demo cd and when i open from cakewalk console view, my graphics freak out! The screen boxes, tool bars, and text remain normal but the graphics flicker so badly that i can't make anything out. When I close the plug-in, everything returns to normal. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

cakewalk tech support thinks it may be a graphics card issue and have not heard of this happening before. I am away from my DAW so can't check yet. So, what do you people think, hardware prob, software prob, both, or is it just me?!?

Ok, so not only do I talk to myself, now I reply to my own posts! I changed the graphics properties from 256 colors to 16 bit (which is the opposite of what tech support reccomended) and it worked! Now if I could just resolve the resulting drop outs whenI use the ren reverb.

I use Waves in every I audio app I have (CW, sonar, WaveLab, SF, Samplitude) - with True Color (32bit) at 1024x768.

They work great - so, somewhere you have an odd combination.

As for dropouts, sounds like you are maxing your processor - Waves are hungry puppies, but that is why they sound great.

Try changing your buffer settings in the CW audio otions.

Talking about how great things worked for you in Wave Lab with Waves plug-ins I have a question for you ! have you ever experienced the following problem : when I re load the master section presets that I previously saved I get errors usualy with Maxxs Bass , Deesser and Q10 but somethimes with L1 too ...they refuse to apear if I click on Fx button and if I insist , Wave lab shuts down with the message ...error on user.exe ... this happens only if I re load the presets ; when I'm in the first sessios (so to speak) it's working fine 'till I save the presets and I reload them ...what's the problem??! Please help ... I use Win me ... but is the same is Win2000.
