Hi, I am new to this forum and hope I can find an answer to a problem. I am writing for a friend as his internet connection is down at the moment. He has cakewalk pro 9 and uses the Renaissance package plug-ins. He also has WaveLab. He installed the Waves program fine, and everything was working ok, until recently when he tried to access the waves eq for a keyboard track and his system froze up. He opened WaveLab and was able to open the Waves plug ins fine in there, so he narrowed it down to a Cakewalk conflict somewhere. After trying various thigs he decided to re-install Waves but to no avail. He then re-installed Cakewalk thinking if a file was missing or corrupted it would fix the problem, but again, his system froze up on him when accessing waves in CW.
Anyone have this problem before? He has other plugs installed such as Sonic Foundry's Noise Reduction and everything else opens just fine. He recently downloaded a demo of Ultra Funk, a surround sound plug in at someones suggestion, and he thought maybe the demo caused a problem in CW and the plug ins. So he deleted it, then rebooted and still he can't access the Waves plug ins. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kathy
