Hi,

This is simple, I have a stereo mix, but the low end is a bit to much. I need to tame it abit. I understand I can use the +C1 comp/limiter to do this.

Could someone be kind enough to explain this to me like I'm 3 yrs old? What all the buttons should be toggled to (specifically make up, EQ mode, Low ref/peak ref, etc). Also I'm unsure how the parameters work on the gate side. As well as look ahead and rolloff type...basically I don't understand a thing about it!

Honestly, compressor/limiters are brand new to me, and any help to solve my "way too much bass" problem will be greatly appreciated! (aside from recording it better or mixing it better! : )

Thanks!
Jhon

Why don't you just EQ the bass with the RenEQ or Q10? Why do you want/need to compress? (maybe you do, it's just not clear)
