I've imported a video clip into CEP and marked cue points to which I will add music. If I know the duration of a cue and the number of meaures I want to compose, how do I determine the tempo? Is there a formula (or a downloadable program if not in CEP) for calcutating tempos based on time and number of measures? I don't have a midi sequencer. I know the number of measures and time it needs to fit into. How would I calculate the tempo from that?

Tempos are calculated in BPM's or beats per minute, so you simply divide 60 by the number of seconds in the clip, then multiply that by the number of beats in the clip.

Or play the clip anolg with a drum machine or metronome and sync up the tempos.

Or, there's a bpm calculator in CEP, but I've never figured out how to use it :-P
