Hi

Is it possible to get the reverb or echo of a sample on a different track? I would like to get _just_ the echo so I could use different effects on it before adding it to the mix. Hmm... question is simple, but I don't seem to get it right. Hope you got my meaning.
If this can't be done in CEP, are there other programs that can do it?
Thanks.

Open your source .wav file.

Apply the reverb 100% wet (so you'll only get the reverb left in the file.)

Do a "Save As" to a new file name (don't overwrite the original file.)

Bring the reverb file into your sequencer as another track.

This is also called "printing to tape". I do this all the time for my songs. For one, it's a lot easier on your processor.

You can also then use automation (if your sequencer has it) to modify the volume and panning of your reverb to do cool things with it.

Thank you!

I never thought of that. The simple things are hard to figure out...
