I've just installed CE2K with the Studio plug-in on an IBM laptop running Win2k. I'm using a Digigram VXPocket v2 soundcard. I have a CD player hooked up to the soundcard. When I play a CD that has a tone on the left channel only, it shows up as left-only on the red CoolEdit vu meters at the bottom of the CE window. However, the tone is recorded on both channels (I see the waveform in both channels and hear the tone in each channel of my headphones). I have track 1 panned hard left (-100) and track 2 panned hard right (+100). When the CD plays a track that has tone on the right channel only, I see it on the right vu meter, but there is no waveform on either track and no audio is present.
Any ideas why this is happening and what I need to do to record in stereo?
