I would like to know of some magazines/books/etc. that us "college recording hobbyists" could use to reference equipment and software choices/techniques for DAW use.
My lack of recording studio experience(2 times)prevents me from confidently choosing a new condenser mic, plug-in set for cool edit, or sound card. It would also be nice to know if I am using my equipment in a near-optimal fashion.
The bookstore seems out of date.
