Noise Reduction

I tried using it on a live recording of a local choir. It reduced the noise very well, but threw a nasty phase effect into the rest of the recoding.

Any suggestions? Could my sample have been to large? Too small? Does this just not work well on stereo files?

have you tried the hiss reduction, i use that far more often with better results, you can adjust the noise floor ect. Take a sample of the noise apply the filter viola! Of course you need to play with some of the settings to get it to work well.

Try bumping up your "# of snapshots" to 24576, the "FFT size" to 24000, and be sure to fine tune the "reduce noise by" category by working your way up from 0dB. Try all of this with the "NR Level" between 55 and 100.

Processing time using these finer resolutions is about tenfold but it's quite justifiable given the results.
