has anyone used a dman 2044 sound card with CEP?
I have a chance to get a used one fairly inexpensively, but no midiman products are listed on the syntrillium site
thanks

Yup, I used one for awhile with CEP and it worked fine. Still a decent sounding card too. You might want to check with M-Audio first though.

I loved my Dman so much, when I came into a little money, I bought another Midiman card.
The Dman is 20 bit, however CEP will only read it as 16 bit. But it still sounded great. I ended up getting the Midiman Delta 44 - which is a 24bit card.

Are you sure about the 20 bit thing DCO? With other 20 bit sound cards I have used, if you set CEP to 32 bit for recording then it will record all 20 bits. I have not used a DMan, but doubt if it would be any different.

The DMAN 2044 only records at 16 bits. It has 20 bit converters, but only a 16 bit data path.
