Fading Out in CEP 1.2

I have a song that has a portion of another song mixed into it. I would like to take out that last 2 seconds of the new song. I would like to fade it out. So about 4 seconds into the end I would like to fade it out to nothing. Can't seem to figure it out. Please help.

Here's what you do:

1. You highlight the selection you want to perform the fade on -> the 4 seconds you wrote about.

2. Now go to transform / amplify / amplitude (or click directly on the icon which represents a small circel looking like a volume knob)

3. Select fadeout from the presets and click "ok".

another approach would be to use the envelope filter - starting a 100% using spline curves build a curve with an increasingily steeper slope until you get to 0%. with splines, you should be able to do this w/ 2 or 3 points.

apply this filter to the section you want to fade (hightlight first) and viola - a nice smooth fade out. it also works in reverse
