Why do my computer tunes sound "flat"?

Alright guys!?!

I've made a few tunes now but whenever I burn them to CD and play them on a domestic CD player the tunes sound flat and not spaced out as they sound on the computer.

Do you I have to do anything to my completed wave file first BEFORE buring to CD?

Three things come to mind, your computer monitoring system, your soundcard settings, and your stereo player monitors.

If you use any kind of surround or 3D settings in your computer soundcard or monitors you will get a false representation of what's really there.

And, don't mix with headphones or PC speakers. Period. They will give you a false sense of what's really there.
