Recently got my hands on a mini-disk recorder. It came with a usb cable and some software to transfer data, but with the copyright safeguards, I can only download data that was uploaded from the same computer. So that means that I am unable to digitally transfer the recordings I make (outside, in the non-copyrighted world) directly onto the MD recorder.

Does anyone here know of a way to transfer that data? There must be a software program that transfers data indiscriminately, or SOMETHING.

Let me know?
Thanks.

Hey Fleghand - Is that a Sony NetMD? I got my daughter one, very cool. So, the way I understand the software, you can check out up to three copies of any song, and you have to check them back into the same computer. You should be able to just download the wavefiles to the NetMD. I know you can rip from a CD and then download it. There's a Sony webpage that gives instructions on how to record from various sources with it. Don't have the link, but just search on Net MD and you should find it.
