Hey Robert
Recently you recommended that I check out an Oktava MK-319 Large-Diaphragm Conderser Mic to complement my AT-4033a.

Could this be right?

I hope this is the one you were talking about. http://www.audioforums.com/forums/smile.gif

Man, that is a smokin deal! Now, if you've read about these Oktava mics around the various forums, then you'll have read that they don't have the best quality control, and that you should either buy the hand selected ones from the Soundroom, or go and choose one yourself after making them bring out a few to audition. I did the latter method with my 319 and 012, and there were some mics in the bunch that were not up to snuff. They weren't crap, but they were down a couple db in sensitivity. So, I generally advise that you audition these mics first and get the pick of the litter. But at that price, as long as it's returnable, you might just want to go for it.
oh, sorry for the slow reply, I've been on vacation and away from my computer.
