Wotcha fellow musicians!

Is anyone using the Yammy G50+G1D midi guitar system, and if so could they tell me how good the tracking is?

I currently use a Shadow SH075 midi pickup on my Strat, but it can be a little slow to track unless played above the 12th fret. Also, it doesn't seem to track the note decay too well. I was considering moving to the G50 system if it's better!

Any thoughts?

Peace, out.

Dale.

i have it, it's pretty cool, but i'm new to the whole midi guitar thing.

i actually jusdt bought a midi keyboard and prefer that...so i'm not sure if this is much help to you.

but - i had to lower the pitchbend sensitivity to get it to track the right notes, i actually had to go further than i would like. so it works well, no latency at all, it seems solid if you don't need pitchbend.

i think my problem is two-fold - i'm an expressive guitarist, and i have a floating tremolo ( yuk! ).
when i play the instrument rather than the "guitar" i do much better.

speed wise? it tracks as fast as i play. my software synths are the bottleneck.
