Recording Roland V-Drums. HELP!

I am trying to find the best way to record roland v-drums. I have tried just plugging the analog outputs into my soundcard, but this sounds flat and dead. There is also midi i/o on the v-drum brain. How would I set it up to use this? How do I get it to sound good?! Can someone please explain carefully! Thank you.

MIDI is only useful for sequencing. The actual sound of the drums is not recorded. Only the fact that a particular drum (assigned to a MIDI note number) was struck, how hard it was struck, etc. is recorded when sequencing. You must have the module attached to the sequencer to hear the part played back correctly.
