I want to buy 1, But as I approched the Interness databass I founds bad comments and reports of an unstable and clumzy midi response.(What the F#$K????????)

I s T h a t correct????? (very strange to Hear such things about Akai !!!!)

Or was It only in the inital stages of the sampler's O.S.?

does anyone can give me some indication here of the reported faults?????

Hello... I just picked up an S5000 and I LOVE it. This is the easiest piece of gear to use that I own. This is also the this piece of gear that really makes sense to me also. I mean, the layout and everything is great.

I have had NO problems with this at all... including MIDI timing issues. BUY IT

I use 2 of them and never had any single problem. There were minor niggles with early OS-versions, but they are completly gone now.
This sampler is a real workhorse.

It is still one of the best hardware samplers out there, and is much better than the ugly (car-hifi) Akai Z-Series...
