Trying to optimize 98SE for max RAM. Which patch/fix/download?

I recently updated my RAM from 128 to 512. I'm running 98SE and I read in a post that 98SE needs to be tweaked to work well with that much RAM. I believe that because my computer has not really improved performance since I did that. It's like it doesn't know what to do with all the RAM and is confused. I have been searching for the right patch/fix but the Microsoft/Gates empire has so damn many downloads and many worthless ones that I'm not sure which one will help and which one will clutter my drives. Anyone who has optimized 98 (other than loading XP or 2K haha) for 512 of RAM please let me know! thanks!

try tweaking the vcache.

i also read that someone said that win98se didn't have this problem, just win 98.

i dunno though.

ya if you're running 98se don't worry about the settings for that amount. Just make sure it's not bargain bin RAM.
