I'm just curius... has anyone else used DiGAS, an audio editing system for radio production?
The thing is I have been forced to work with this piece of **** for the past few years (I'm a radio producer) because its what the company decided to buy. Only it's such a crap system that I am slowly going insane.
Am I alone in this nightmare?
The thing is, there must be some similar system that is actually well designed and usable. Any suggestions?

Paid,
I have to be honest, I have never even heard of the software you are using , so I can't comment on it. However for audio only type work (editing-time compression-arranging etc.) I have never used a better program than Samplitude. It doesn't have playlist /programming functions for streaming directly to Airplay, but as an editor/recorder/file convertor (wav-mp3-aiff) it really rocks.
It is for PC in case you are using a Mac.

Sorry I can't be of more help.Perhaps some-one else can chime in here.

Iv'e never heard of it either, and chances are not too many others in this forum have either. After a quick search I surmmize it's GMBH specialized radio/multimedia software based in Germany. While I'm not too famailiar with that genre I do know that people have been using Sek'd Samplitude for those purpouses,to what extent I couldn't say. You'll probably get more mileage posting this in the Sek'd section of this forum and the Steinberg Nuendo forum elswhere.

Digas is a high-end system used by the BBC and several other major broadcasters in Europe. I use this program at work, and it works very well. Actually, I've been trying a number of other audio editing applications (on my private computer, a Mac) in order to find something which resembles Digas, but I've been disappointed so far.
