View Full Version : should i enable UDMA66?

i have a kind of PC optimize kit and it has a checkbox for enabling UDMA66, should i click on it? my OS is 98se, thx in advance

if it is a box in an optimisation program then the check only applies to intel processors, and at that i am not sure if it affects them all or what.

the real check to test if your harddiscs are running in DMA is in the control panel. take a look in the devices there for the hard discs and it should tell you waht mode they are running in.

i can't give you precise directions here because i can't remember it in win 98.

thx for the quick reply, yes, i did slected enable DMA at disk control,but since i installed the intel chipset accelerator,they dun have this option anymore, and i ve heard that DMA is automaticqally enabled, am i correct? then what is UDMA ?any inputs?
