keyboard for piano/strings

Hello folks. I would like to find a synth that has good piano sounds and really high quality deep rich string sounds. Other sounds are not as important but those two are my "must haves". What do you folks recommend? I have $2500.00 set aside for it.

Kurzweil PC2x. The triple strike piano is very good. Nothing beats the kurz strings in general too.. there's a patch (can't remember the name), that is just silky smooth. 1,700 or there abouts. Limited programmability but great bread and butter sounds. I think this is the simplest solution.

To get a better piano sound you'll probably need a sampler.

The alesis dg8 is getting blown out for approx 1,000. This thing original sold for like $2,400! Very good piano sounds, can't remember about the strings, though.
