Well, Im getting one of them...IM just not sure which. They are both the same price (2000$ at audiomidi.com). The major difference I can see is that the kb has 61 keys to the Indigo's 37. The kb also has aftertouch but is also double the size and weight of the indigo. Under the hood, they are the exact same machine as far as I can tell.
Does anyone have any experience with these synths that they can tap into to perhaps lend some insight that I am lacking here?
Thanks.

id say the kb from the specs to be honest, and if u go on the mailing list and just eves drop ull get alot of info, i only have a rack, but its still wicked. i think from whats been said the kb is built more solid and has a iccle tiny bit more power, and most ppl have a b. www.teklab.com (http://www.teklab.com)

The KB, B, and Indigo have EXACTLY the same guts... as you've noted they're all in a different packages. Do you have a fullsize (or near fullsize) controller or some MIDI deal that has a buncha keys (with after-touch)?? Let this alone drive your decision. The indgo does look mighty sexy though.
I have a K2000 controlling my whole studio.. the Virus B being part of it.

I have read reviews that claim that the keyboard on the kb is way better than the Indigo. In addition to being larger, it supposedly has better action and feels more solid than the Indigo. The Indigo looks way cooler though http://www.audioforums.com/forums/wink.gif
The synth hardware is the same for kb, b, and Indigo and the os can be upgraded via software updates for free on their website.

Have fun!

I have a Virus Indigo and the sound engine is phenomenal. If you 'playing' your virus get a kb, if you're writing from a sequencer, the Indigo or rack is better since they take up less studio space. But the Indigo looks the best!

If I could buy my Virus over again, I would get the Virus B ... the desktop module.
I have the Virus KB and it is a huge giant heavy monster. If you have a way of controlling the Virus ... like any other thing with a keyboard on it ... I would recommend the plain Virus B controlled by your other keyboard. Otherwise, get the Indigo ... it looks cool ... and it isn't bigger than your car.

p.s. Don't get me wrong, though ... I love my Virus KB ... it rules. If I could do it all again, though ...
