I just bought a specially built pc for audio recording, and I use Cubase SX ver.1.06
I use the Midilink, and have an Echo Gina 24/96 as a sound card.

Problem #1: I canīt get the midi to sync when I record...sometimes it works though, but not every time.

Problem #2: A short, clicking sound is heard from the audiocard at random, and thus disturbs when I convert from Midi to Audio, or record audio in general. (the click is heard and seen in the created audiofile)

I was told this clicksound is due to some conflict in sync, but noone can find out what the problem is coming from.

Iīve looked in the Device setup in Cubase, everything thereīs ok, also in the settings for the audiocard - nothing there is "wrong" either...

I have reinstalled the midilink.

Can anyone help ??
/Andy

I have close to the same setup except for your midi interface so let me see.

When you say you lose sync... Is this only in Midi or are you trying to sync the midi to some Audio tracks? Does it appear to go away once you reboot?

Are you sure you have the latest drivers for your soundcard?

In cubase make sure you've chosen the ASIO Drivers in the Device setup under VST Multitrack.

I have reinstalled Cubase, audiocard and my midilink... at first it worked..but after a while itīs the same again (midi doesnīt sync with metronome when I record)

What the hell could be the problem...Iīm going craaaazy !!

(I have the Asiodrivers as they should be in the Device setup)
