I just installed a MOTU 24 I/O but my computer doesn't recognize it. Sonar does not see it, and the soundcard configuration doesn't see it. The software mixer program Cuemix that runs it shows a mostly blank screen with only a master slider, but nothing for the other 24 i/o sliders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the PCI-424 card in a different PCI slot other than the one you have it in.

Try slot 3 or 4 from your VGA card. Slot one is right nect to the VGA 2, 3 ,4 ,5 and so on counting away from VGA.

un-install sonar

un-install motu software

turn off system and remove card

turn system on

install motu software

turn off system and install PCI-424 card in slot 3 set to IRQ 5,9,10 in bios

dissable usb, netowrking, on-board sound in bios.

reboot system and let windows find motu driver.

No without sonar installed get the cards Q-mix up and be sure it is functioning.

If it is not call motu and see whats up...

If it is install sonar and do the wave profiler.

Your set that will be $1,000,000 dollars

just kidding good luck..

Justin,

I got it to work when I used the 2nd firewire port - using the 1st port did not work. The MOTU instructions say to use the 1st port for the core system, and then use the others if you add additional firewire equipment. Is my 1st port broken?
