hi people
I would like to move 2gig of audio data onto another partition.I heard that the mere fact of copying a file was not totally reliable.
Does anyone know a 100% reliable way(/app) to handle this?

That's not true, unless there's a problem with the hard drive. I copy files all the time and they always arrive intact.
If you want to verify that copying was successful, get to a command prompt and use the built-in FC (file compare) program. I'm sure programs that are easier to use than FC are readily available. I use DirPrudence, which is $15 shareware and has a trial version. I suspect there are some freeware file verifiers too.

ANOTHER sudjestion is and that is if you want to move files from computer a to b to c
etc..could be done by networking.wired or wireless.in my case its wireless and moved actual projects as big as 1.2 gig,and absolutely the same quality and copy.
i thought i might add that one too.
