I am looking for an inexpensive PC Based Recording Studio for midi and digital audio.
The requirements I am looking for are:
- at least 16 tracks for midi recording
- at least 8 tracks for dig.audio recording
- sound effects for recorded sounds such as:
- echo
- chorus
- reverb
- flange
- can play from my midi keyboard and record in real-time without delays

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Cakewalk's Home Studio http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/HomeStudio/default.asp would probably fit the bill best or Sonar if you need more http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/studio.asp. Also keep in mind that for either of these apps,Win XP or 2K are required for best latencey and overall performance results(delays/dropouts ect.)and proper audio hardware(No Soudnblasters or on board audio)such as M-Audio Audiophile($149.00) or Eho Mia($200.00) or something from Terratec(similar prices)that has proper Asio and WDM drivers. The last 2 points I made are most important otherwise you'll be wasting endless hours simply getting things to work properly.Good luck.
