So, I have had FL Studio 9 XXL Producer edition for about a month and I have made a complete beat (it's not very good) but I do know the basics of using the software. I know how to make several patterns, change the beat tempo, browse through the beats, and kind of make the beats.

I am VERY SERIOUS About recording RnB/Hip hop music and I currently do freestyles all the time, but I record them with my blackberry (which sounds horrible). I want to make real music.

I have a decent microphone from my old guitar band, but there is no plug in on it that goes into the computer? It's a Snure.

With those things said:

I have no clue how to make good beats on FL Studio. I have so many in my head, but no clue how to tranfer that to FL Studio (especialy RnB/pop music beats). I see no electronic keyboard sound to use like most rap songs/pop songs have that very electronic now with mainstream. I have no one to teach me, so I am very stuck on how to make a real beats (I like artists like Sean Kingston, Lil Wayne, Jaicko, Justin Bieber, and all that mainstream stuff).

Secondly, do I need to buy a new microphone and if so, can you please give a website that is best for 1) purchasing mics for the use I have hear (FL Studio plug in computer) and 2) Recording stuff in general.

Can a normal mic, like mine, not be used with FL Studio? Is plugging in a mic to the computer the normal way to record music. Can you hear your music beat while you sing? As you can see, I am quite clueless, a guy with lots of ideas for years but has not clue how to translate them.

I feel like a lot of the effects I hear are not on FL Studio (I would love if some one could send me an example of some mainstream song and I could see what they use on FL Studio cause I don't see it).

Lastly, I know HOW to make basic beats, and have saved them and put them in videos, but what do I need to do now. I am very serious and I think you all for your help :)

WoW – I fill sorry for you. I just remember how it was when I started.
For your info, FL Studio is great software but if you know how to use it. Search on e-net for FL Studio Bible. Also, hi gives as good result as god hardware you have. For weary beginning (learning), you have solid equipment. Later on, you will need much better stuff.
Somebody should say this: To know making a good sound in DAW it is equal like getting Ph.D

You'd be amazed how sitting down with one or more of these would help you:

Just the basics:

Beats per Minute = Just as it sounds like...
1 WHOLE note at 120 beats per minute in 4/4 time
would only show 30 whole notes, or 30 measures in a
minutes time.

Your best book would be to pick-up a beginning drum
book to get a handle on the math involved.

If anything, you may understand the samples you plan to utilize.

Running a sure direct to computer, I assume it is a SM57 or 58; This looks like a good deal to me, adding the fact that you have phantom power down the road; http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Icicle/

Plugging a mic into a computer IS NOT the Normal way to go, as a little mixing board would allow you to control the input level, initial EQ, allow pre-effects, such as pre-amps, and also allow outside synths and drum machines.

If you are serious, grasshopper, you will find your destiny.
