hi all,

I just installed Windows XP Pro and downloaded a XP driver for my soundblaster...and i gotta say I really miss those old drum sounds in Windows 98 (my previous OS) can you dowload better sounding midi drums (i think they're called 'midi instruments') on the internet? if yes where?

also another problem occured after installing Win XP, the midi is out of sync..meaning that the audio and midi have their own tempos..which is a big pro
blem! I'm using Cakewalk audio pro 9 and it worked fine in Windows 98...

my system:
Asus p4b533-e motherboard
P4 2,4 Ghz
512 ddr sdram
soundblaster live! 1024

help would be appreciated

thanx

Since you have an SBLive card, you can use soundfont (which can be real sampled, recorded drums.)
www.hammersound.net (http://www.hammersound.net) has plenty of great ones for free.

thanx i appreciate your help..

btw i solved the other problem yesterday (the out of sync problem)..it seems that the buffer size should be different from system to system and i recently bought a new motherboard, cpu and ram...so that was the problem..

I am using soundfont drums that I downloaded for free from net called "drums by salvo". Carn't remember where from you'll have to do a search. I thaught these were way better than any others i'd heard but it was some time ago.
Give them a try but if you find any better then put a link in a post.

Yup Drums by Salvo is on the above site www.hammersound.net (http://www.hammersound.net) & has one of the best ratings also.
