i got this wierd midi adaptor...what is it?

hi guys,

i stumbled across this unusual midi adapter in my random-miscellaneous-stuff box.

you plug a midi cable into one side, and then on the other side is a 6 pin jack like you would plug into a mouse port. (it fits perfectly into a mouse port, i tried it.)

midi-to-mouseport adaptor? it's too wierd. i don't get it!

It's a midi adapter for a soundcard. One came with my dakota. There is a small ps2 port on the card that it plugs into. I guess there was no room to put midi outlets on the board.
