can´t record mic´s sound

hi, well, I´m kind of new with these things. So, till yesterday I had no problem recording my voice in the computer, but now I can´t. The mic works fine (I hear my voice trough the speakers) but none of the programs I have installed record it. They do work normally (the programs) when I insert already recorded files, like mp3 or wav.

Try this;

Go to Control Panel
Sounds
Audio tab
Make sure your soundcard is listed in Sound Recording field
