What kind of latency can i expect...

I am about to buy a MIDI keyboard, but before i do anything i need to know what latency i might get from my setup.

I use:
SB Live! Platinum (not sure which driver version is relevant, but the EMU10K1.VXD is 4.11.01.0711)

AMD Athlon 600 Mhz
128 Mb PC100 RAM
Win98SE

I'm considering buying an evolution MK249C keyboard, but i guess that won't affect latency, will it?

I will mainly use software like reason 2.5, fruityloops and reaktor.

By the way, is there a way to benchmark your soundcards performance?

If you're serious about making music I would start saving for a better sound card and ditch the Soundblaster ASAP

I don't think you will have problems with latency in midi stuff.
