hi guys,
i'm looking at getting an rme setup for my computer. but i can't understand their product lineup.
specifically the expensive adi-8...how do you hook it up to your computer? it has t-dif output.
the other thing is i just bought a midex3 usb midi module. and my timing is terrible! approximately 400 milliseconds. right now i'm only using my motherboard on-board sound. i don't have a "soundcard" yet (i'm shopping). will having a "real" soundcard make my vsti's work properly.
it's kind of baffling me because i can run tons of plugins, mix, use the uad-1 card. all this stuff works great just using my core computer. but now that i'm trying to add midi through the usb port, my timing is complete dog-pooh.
so maybe just getting something like an hdsp 9632 would be the way to go.
