Greets everyone,
Been a long time since i've been around - living this thing called life!

Anyways, i was not sure where to post this so, apologies to mods if i've blundered!!

Basically what i'm trying to do is this ..

I've got a midi synth track in Nuendo 3 and i want to record it onto an audio track in the same project. Need to do this in order to free up CPU.

I've tried many things like creating IN/OUT buses and various techniques but the Audio track will just not record.
Another thing I've noticed is that when creating an input bus, Mia MIDI allows for only the S/PDIF inputs assigned to channels 3 and 4 only(which are external input connections). It does not allow me to rout the MIDI through any of the internal virtual channels so that i can record MIDI to an audio track internally.

The funny thing is i upgraded from a cretive Audigy ZS Platinum PRO where such function was a breeze!!

Any solutions to this would be highly appreciated. It's really affecting my productivity and workflow!!

Cheers mates!!

You need to export each instrument track as a .wav (or .aiff) file. Do that as follows:
1) Solo the track of your instrument.
2) It's recommended to disable any audio effects. This will give you more flexibility during mixing.
3) Set the left and right locators to the beginning and end of the track.
4) Use the Export Audio dialog (Under File menu) to bounce a wave file. You should enable "Import to audio track".

Thanx for the reply Arpatle,

Edit ----

I din notice the last point u made. Very useful. Thanx a tonne for the advice.

I was looking for a more immediate or rather on the fly kind of way to bounce to wave without having to go to file-export etc. But this helps plenty.

I was under the impression that echo was a superior product compared to creative, it definitely is so where AD DA is concerned, but ease wise a lil on the rough.

Thanx again!

Cheers mate!!
