i just purchased a m-audio keyrig 49 keyboard. It was working fine for about two weeks then suddenly the computer didnt recognize the keyboard when i plugged it in the usb ports. I've tried to use different usb ports but it still doesn't work. I have also tried to reinstall the keyboard, but still no luck. What should I do?

Hi Ez,
A few questions to help us help you:
Are other USB devices working all right in those ports?
What is the model of your computer and what operating system are you running?
When you say it doesn't recognize it, does the computer acknowledge it at all (any beeps?)? Is it just programs?
Are there any indicators on the Keyrig to indicate it is receiving power?
Have you tested it on another computer?

the computer recognizes other usb devices but not the keyrig 49.
im using a dell inspiron laptop e1705 and the os is xp servive pack 3.in the device manager its saying that the drivers are not installed but i installed the drivers and still giving me the same message.I also tried to install the updater software for the keyrig 49 but the software didnt even open. I did test it on another computer and it still didnt work, the power comes on but still doesn't work.

It could be a blown USB port or loose connection inside the unit, then. Luckily, you are still under warranty! I would recommend you contact M-Audio support, describe the problem, and ask for repair or replacement of the unit. (They'll probably make you do everything you've done already over again.)
