Dear all, built myself a new computer to improve rendering speed after editing video.
Transferred the DMX6Fire audio card from first machine where it worked fine.
It is now in my new machine but I cannot get a peep out of the card.
Have downloaded what appears to be the latest driver but still no sound.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?
OR is it because I am running 64 bit XP PRO?
Happy New Year to All.

The 6fire is about 7 years old and hasn't been supported for quite a while (cool little card, was my first!).
Unless the drivers specifically state that they are 64 bit, then they won't work, and I'm 99.9% positive that there are no 64 bit drivers for the 6fire.

Looks like it's time for a new card (and double check that whatever you look at has 64 bit drivers too).

Is the driver properly installed? You can check that under Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Are you able to select the driver in your software?
I've had some issues with my EWX24/96 in the past and I solved by moving the card into another PCI slot.
But I'm also afraid that Viracocha is right.
