hi - I'm looking for a 4 analogue input sound card and a basic digital camera which would be best for using with Max MSP, on my shiny new Macbook (white, 2.1GHz, 4GBy) which has 1x firewire and 2 x USB2 ports.
I would really appreciate any recommendations and specifically, should the camera be firewire, or can it be USB?
Ideally- I'm hoping to not shell out much for the £200 for both. So far the favorites are, for USB, the ESi U48, but although that is 4 in, it only goes to 16 bit, for firewire, the prosonus inspire, but that would take up my only firewire socket...
Any ideas anyone?????
