Hi! I'm new to these forums. got a bit of a mind boggler for you guys!:confused:
I've been experiencing a problem with the Edirol FA-101 firewire soundcrad. I have been using it for 2 years without any problems and then all of a sudden I turn on my computer today and the red firewire comunication light flashes twice then turns off! From what I remember both the blue power light and red light should remain on all the time!
I've tried re-installing the driver but when I get to the stage that says "please connect FA-101 to your computer", I turn it on and the red light flashes and the computer dosn't recognize anything connected so I can't finish installing the drivers... I've restarted about ten 10 times, checked connections, used bus and power cables... (I'm using Vista 32 bit)
I've already ruled out faulty firewire cables and firewire ports... external hard drive and external CD-ROM work perfectly through firewire ports!!
I also have a mac and the mac also doesn't recognize the soundcard anymore! before I would just connect it and It would work perfectly!
Does anyone know what the flashing red firewire light means? I'm very surprised about the lack of info I've found on then net. Any help of any nature is very welcome!
