Hey everyone, this is my first post in the forum.
The problem I have is that when I plug my guitar in the Line-In input and try to record with Sony Acid I can't get no sound. I've tryied to change the configuration of the program but nothing, I think it's something between the ASIO drivers (but when I try Windows Classic Wave Driver I get the same problem) and my sound driver that is named IDT Audio. I'll leave a screenshot that may help you to help me :P
Thanks everyone!

Good morning Rocksoff,
More information please! What soundcard is it? I also notice that the extreme LHand slider is at minumum, push everything to max to start with.
Go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices and work thru' the boxes and turn everything on and to max.
If you are plugging a guitar directly into a pci or On Board Soundcard the results will be poor, go thru' a pedal to lift the signal. but you should get something!
If you are using a Soundblaster type card or integrated computer sound I strongly advise you to ditch it and buy an external Audio Interface. The M-Audio Fast Track Pro is pretty bombproof and works on just about anything, about 200USD.

Thanks for your time man, and yes I know I should get an external soundcard and I will get one soon.
About the information you asked, in the device administrator in the audio devices I found one named NVIDIA HDMI Audio Device, and another that says IDT High Definition Audio Codec.
I have a NVIDIA 8600GTS videocard, it seems that it also works as a soundcard...

The NVIDIA HDMI Audio Device is your audio card....have you looked in it's mixer? Something maybe muted.

I think the problem is with the IDT Audio controller, it controlls the nvidia soundcard, but the solution I think Im needing is finding how to make it work wth ACID and ASIO. Im really confused right now, if you guys can help me I'll appreciate, and if not, I'll appreciate your time too.
Thanks.

Bit of a warning. I have read that Nvidia chipsets do not work well with certain AI's. Notably Tascam. Do check this and get a written returns agreement with any future purchase.
Dave.
