I'm posting this because I didn't realize myself that it changes.I just saw a brand new 333FSB 2500ghz Barton with 512 L2 cahe for around $200.00 and the Atlhon XP 266FSB 2600 goes for close to $280.00,now I know why, sort of.

whenever a cpu manufacturer introduces a new chip archicture, they have to go through a refining process to get the clock speeds up. Bartons will go up and up over the next few months, that's for sure.
I'm actually a bit surprised AMD is offering so many different speeds right out of the gate.
A big win for Intel is that they have been able to *Crank* up the clock speeds on the P4.
What has hurt Apple considerably, is that Motorola has been doggedly slow in getting the G4 clock speeds up. They just made the "big move" to 1.42ghz. Not very impressive.
this is great info that got posted by the way... I'm sure I'll be looking at this AMD mhz post again and again as I look to see how Barton makes it's way onto the scene.
great question about the A7N8X... I have the same exact question.

Yes,the A7N8X does support 333FSB ,and the 512 L2 no problem. In fact I hear most new boards that do support the new 333FSB will also have a bios update to support 400FSB as well.
