Dear all,
It may be a long shot, but is it possible to add more warmth, depth or space to pre-recorded music on CD. For instance today's CD's are often
mastered very loud, with lots of compression and hard limiting. Would it be possible to rip the tracks and load them into Audition 2.0 and add more warmth, depth , etc to it. Which functions in Audition could create this?
Any suggestions and ideas are more than welcome.
Best regards, Charles HH.

"Warmth" and "depth" are words that very often refer to dynamic content, and not just frequency ranges. If a file is overcompressed at the outset, then you are extremely limited in terms of playing with dynamic content. My first inclination is to say "no, not really." But you can ty some analog EQ emulations to try to "warm" it up a bit, and reverb for more depth.

Thank you for your feedback. I will certainly try the suggestions you made and realize that there's probably not too much that can be done. Thanks again. Charles HH
