For BRIANK, or whoever can help, you seem to know about low budget setups, and in particular, SB soundfonts. I just got an audigy2, and have discovered the soundfonts myself (very cool!!) at present, I dont have a midi keyboard, I know that one can "test" the soundfonts with the computer key board, can that be used as an onhand "quickfix" for creating midi files? Can't find the documentation on creatives website or in the manuals. Also, I DO have an Alesis sr 16 drum machine, my (low budget) setup is : SR16 to midisport 2x2 to computers usb in. Can I use my drum machine to control/create midi files? I've tried, in vain, as many ways I can think of to get it to work, but I can't. I'm not knowledgeable at all when it comes to midi, and it's so frustrating, any thoughts?? Also, I have sonar 1, cakewalk pro 9, soundforge 6, is there a way to use any of these together with the soundfonts in audigy2?
